I was born and raised in Mexico, and I earned my master's degree (M.A.) and doctoral degree (Ph.D.) at Arizona State University. My research focuses on cognitive assessment; assessment and research methodology with culturally and linguistically diverse populations; acculturation; and bilingual and multicultural psychology practice. I have served as a member of the NASP Social Justice Committee and a member of the Editorial Advisory Board for School Psychology Review.
