Megan Joy

Director, Autism Services PA, Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health

Dr. Joy is the Director of Autism Services for Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health for the state of Pennsylvania. In her role as state director, Dr. Joy provides clinical oversight to autism programs in Pennsylvania, including educational, residential and community-based services for children and adults. Dr. Joy received her Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Stony Brook University under the mentorship of Dr. Edward Carr, one of the founders of Positive Behavior Support. Dr. Joy's work focuses on using the principles of behavior to develop comprehensive intervention plans to teach skills and reduce problem behaviors in natural settings. She has presented at a number of regional and national conferences on supporting families with children with autism, functional assessment, skill development, training therapists and educators on the principles of ABA, and using multi-tiered systems of support to develop effective staff training and supervision models.
