Your registration includes:

  • Access to all live sessions (with a choice of session during four timeslots)
  • On-demand access to sessions for 60 days, starting approximately 2 weeks following the event
  • Ability to earn up to 12 hours of Category A (live) CPD and 6 hours of Category H (self-study) CPD, with documentation of attendance attesting to hours earned

Yes, you can earn Category A CPD credit for all sessions you attend live (maximum of 12 hours of Category A CPD credit) and Category H CPD credit for all sessions you watch on-demand. You can earn a maximum of 22 hours of CPD credit across both categories depending on what you watch live versus on demand.

In order to earn Category A credit, you need to watch sessions in real-time, stay until the end, and complete an evaluation and affidavit after the session is complete. All sessions are NASP-approved, and NASP is also approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. NASP maintains responsibility for this program and its content.
Yes, however, the on-demand version will no longer qualify for Category A CPD credit; instead, it would be Category H (self-study) CPD credit. All sessions will be recorded and made available to registrants on demand for 60 days, starting approximately 2 weeks after the event.
No, this program focuses entirely on the educational session content.

In mid-June, you will receive detailed information from NASP Support (support@broadcastmed.io) about how to access the Advanced Skills Institute (ASI) session platform. This will require that you have both computer access and a reliable Internet connection.

If you cannot find your registration email, check your spam/junk mail folder. If you are still experiencing difficulty, contact the Technology Support Team at 1.860.953.2900 for assistance.

Did you try the System Checker button on the main page? That will tell you if there is a problem with your computer set up.

If you encounter technical difficulties during ASI 2023, there are several ways you can request assistance, 9:00 a.m.– 8:00 p.m. EST, Monday–Friday. You can click on the Chat icon at the bottom right of each event page on the platform, from which you can submit questions directly to the Technical Support Team. And you also can click the Tech Support button on the left side of the event page. Finally, you can call 1.860.953.2900 for technical assistance.

Do not call the NASP office directly
, as only Digitell can provide technical assistance and you will be asked to call the Technical Support Team at this number, instead.

You can look at the Live Sessions section on the main convention navigation menu. This tells you the date and time of all live sessions.

Within two weeks of the event, all registrants will have access to all content for approximately 60 days on-demand. On-demand content will still qualify for NASP-approved CPD*,

CPD Credit

You can earn Category A (live) documented, NASP-approved continuing professional development credit by attending Live Sessions (LS) only. NASP also is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. NASP maintains responsibility for this program and its content.

To be eligible for documented CPD credit, you must attend the full sessions (Live or OnDemand). Live sessions qualify for Category A (live) credit, whereas OnDemand sessions qualify for Category H (self-study) credit. To track attendance, attention check pop-up boxes will appear at random intervals throughout the session. You will need to confirm your continuing participation (by clicking the Confirm Attendance button) when these appear. If you have done so successfully, you will be given access to an evaluation at the end of the session.

Upon completion of the evaluation, you will be able to access and print documentation of the NASP-approved CPD credit earned, which will be sent to the email address you used to register for ASI 2023. You will also receive an email reminder about the evaluation form.

All sessions, regardless of whether you watch live or on-demand, will provide approved documented CPD. However, live and on-demand are considered two different categories of CPD. Live sessions count for Category A (live) credit, of which there is no limit when renewing the NCSP. On-demand sessions count toward Category H (self-study) credit, for which one can only claim up to 40 hours per NCSP renewal cycle.

NASP does not track CPD credits. You should be sure to put all of your documentation in a single place where you can easily access them when processing your NCSP renewal.

We anticipate that recordings of the educational program will be available approximately two weeks after ASI 2023. Registrants will have access to those sessions for 60 days.

Live Sessions (LS)

To be eligible for CPD credit, you must attend the full Live Session. To track attendance, attention check pop-up boxes will appear at random intervals throughout the session. You will need to confirm your continuing participation (by clicking the Confirm Attendance button) when these appear. If you have done so successfully, you will have access to an evaluation form immediately following the session. Upon completion of the evaluation, you will be able to access and print documentation of the NASP-approved CPD credit earned. You will also receive an email reminder.

Yes. Live Sessions (LS) are the only convention sessions eligible for documented NASP-approved CPD credit. NASP also is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. NASP maintains responsibility for this program and its content.

You may not be able to fulfill the participation requirements to obtain NASP-approved CPD documentation, which requires participation in the entire Live Session and successful responses to attention checks. NASP is unable to offer exceptions to this requirement. However, you still can watch recordings of Live Sessions, after ASI 2022, and receive documented NASP-approved Category H self-study CPD credit. This will require your participating in the full session and completing both a session evaluation and post-test.

Our policies for awarding NASP approved documentation of attendance for continuing professional development require us to use attention checks (these are also needed to fulfill our agreement as an approved sponsor of continuing education for APA). The attention checks allow an assessment of the requirement that people arrive on time and stay for the full session (including any Q&A period). In a face-to-face session, monitors attend to those who leave a session for an extended period; those individuals do not receive documentation of attendance. In a virtual session, the attention checks along with other participation monitoring software help serve this purpose.

The iOS operating system allows for only a single audio feed, which is the main content of the session. Therefore, those using an iOS device will see the pop-up for the attention checks but will not receive an audio prompt.

We do not recommend participating in the sessions when driving or engaging in other activities that preclude fully attending the presentation, including the attention checks. Additionally, please note those unable to hear the Alertness Checks must still complete the attention checks to obtain CPD documentation.

Here is what the attention check box looks like:

Yes, this is the case for both Live and OnDemand Sessions. NASP is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. NASP maintains responsibility for the program and its content.

When a session is completed, if you have successfully responded to attention checks, you will be eligible to complete the evaluation. You will find a button to access the evaluation on your “My Itinerary” page or via the “Evaluation” button within the navigation bar at the left of the main page. You will also receive an email reminder.

You can find your CPD documentation via the CDP Transcripts button under My Account at the top navigation menu.

Handouts from educational sessions for which presenters have provided them can be accessed via the Handouts button within the navigation menu at the left of the main convention page.

OnDemand Sessions

Yes. On-Demand Sessions do provide NASP-approved CPD credit though under a different category (Category H, self-study). These sessions will be accessible within two weeks of the end of ASI and for 60 days thereafter.

Both types of sessions are eligible for documented NASP-approved CPD credit. Live sessions qualify for Category A credit, whereas on-demand sessions qualify for Category H (self-study) credit. Again, both still count as NASP-approved CPD. Please see more about CPD categories.

Social Wall

Click the “Social Wall” button in the navigation menu on the left side of your screen. If you want to post something, click “Create Post,” write your text and browse for a photo to add, if you’d like.

No. The Social Wall is internal to ASI 2023 platform only. If you want to post the same content on social media, you’ll need to log into your social media accounts and post there directly.

The Social Wall is designed to allow communication among ASI participants outside of specific sessions. Please keep in mind that posts will be seen by a large number of people and you will be identified by name. Professional language and behavior are expected.

Yes. You can interact with others using the social wall or forums on the event page. You also can chat with other attendees during the sessions you attend.
